Assert Motion Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our innovative team in San Francisco, California. This full-time position requires a hands-on professional who is passionate about guiding patients on their journey to recovery and optimal physical performance. You will play a critical role in assessing patient needs, developing tailored rehabilitation programs, and implementing evidence-based therapies to enhance mobility and improve quality of life.

Our team consists of highly trained specialists who focus on individualized care to empower patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. The practice operates in a state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility designed to provide an environment conducive to healing and recovery. We primarily serve clients who have private medical insurance, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized approach to care.

Work Environment

The position is onsite within our modern outpatient office located in San Francisco. The work setting features advanced therapeutic equipment and spacious treatment areas that foster a collaborative team atmosphere. You will collaborate closely with two other physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality interventions. The practice operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify each patient's objectives, functional abilities, and needs.
• Manage a caseload effectively, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized treatment sessions.
• Develop and implement targeted care plans utilizing a variety of treatment techniques that encourage recovery and functional improvement.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to enhance performance and alleviate discomfort.
• Design and instruct patients in customized wellness and fitness programs that promote long-term health benefits.
• Monitor and reassess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and therapy sessions clearly and thoroughly to maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and consult with additional healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. We are committed to providing effective and compassionate care to all patients, allowing them to regain motion and functionality while reducing reliance on medications. You will work with diverse clients, including athletes, active individuals, and elderly patients, tailoring interventions to their specific recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• A valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic physical therapy practices and familiarity with evidence-based interventions.
• Proficiency in creating and executing custom exercise protocols for various patient types.
• Experience with WebPT Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Competence in manual therapy techniques and exercise progression.
• Ability to foster a motivational environment that encourages patient engagement and commitment to recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
