Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, enabling you to deliver care from the comfort of your home while interacting with clients through a secure telehealth platform. Our flexible work structure supports work-life balance, with the expectation to engage in professional work hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM. Some flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to accommodate patient needs, ensuring that we can effectively support our clients when they need us most.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices to create personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Implement an array of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring that each client receives care informed by the latest research and methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations to protect client privacy and ensure the integrity of our services.
• Work in collaboration with a dynamic treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health counselors, to provide holistic care to clients.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings designed to enhance the quality and efficacy of care offered at Wild Sun.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health-related topics, empowering them with knowledge about diagnoses, treatment options, and community resources.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatment modalities and best practices to continually improve your therapeutic skills and knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Mental Health Counselor at Wild Sun will involve working with a diverse client population, including individuals grappling with varying degrees of mental health challenges. This may range from anxiety and depression to trauma-related issues, allowing you to apply your expertise in different contexts and actively contribute to improving their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice in the state of Colorado as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Demonstrated understanding of solution-focused therapies with the ability to adapt your approach to meet the specific needs of each client.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating effectively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities that will enable you to navigate complex client scenarios with empathy and insight.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in delivering telehealth services, with a proficiency in utilizing digital platforms for therapy sessions.
