Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed initial assessments through preliminary interviews, documenting all client interactions from consultation through the termination of care.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, synthesizing results to inform effective treatment strategies.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on assessed needs.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to engage clients and enhance their recovery processes.

• Track and monitor clients' progress throughout treatment, making adjustments to plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive client care.

• Follow up with clients admitted to hospitals, coordinating care and maintaining communication with attending physicians and specialists.

• Identify and work to mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery, providing guidance to clients and their families.

• Support family members and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Prior experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating compassion and effective therapeutic skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications prescribed by healthcare specialists.
