Work Environment

This full-time Physical Therapist position will operate in the homes of our clients throughout the Hillsborough area, ensuring that therapy is delivered in a familiar and comfortable setting. Key Responsibilities

• You will direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function. Your focused care will ensure that patients maintain maximum functionality based on their individual capabilities.
• In your role, oversight of Physical Therapy Assistants will be essential, ensuring they execute treatment plans accurately and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
• The evaluation of clients' functional levels through various diagnostic tests is a core responsibility, paving the way for the development of customized rehabilitation goals.
• Assessing home environments for rehabilitation potential will allow you to make strategic recommendations that foster patient independence.
• Your expertise will include the administration of manual therapy, exercise programs, traction, and other modalities, which will be crucial in enhancing the rehabilitation experience.
• Documenting patient progress meticulously through initial evaluations, OASIS assessments, and regular progress notes is vital to maintaining the integrity of each patient's clinical record.
• You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic planning and evaluation of client treatments, maintaining efficient communication with case managers and physicians.
• Additionally, you will instruct families and clients on physical therapy methods and device usage to promote ongoing recovery efforts outside of therapy sessions.
• You will supervise and guide your Physical Therapy Assistants while ensuring compliance with state regulations regarding therapy services.
• Your role may also involve traveling to various client locations, so having a valid driver's license and automobile insurance is necessary for fulfilling your duties.
