Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients in the rehabilitation facility to establish a comprehensive physical assessment.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address mobility issues, pain management, and functional recovery through a range of therapeutic techniques.
• Utilize hands-on therapy methods and therapeutic exercises, adapting based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document patient treatment sessions, progress, and adjustments to care plans meticulously to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage in regular communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members to ensure cohesive care and adherence to treatment goals.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding home exercises, recovery strategies, and assistive device usage as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in physical therapy practices and patient care through workshops, professional societies, and scholarly articles.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population including children and adults facing a variety of challenges such as postoperative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our facility is dedicated to ensuring each patient receives tailored care that addresses their unique needs and goals throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid license to practice physical therapy in the State of New Jersey.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other software necessary for documentation and communication.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience as a practicing physical therapist is required, we welcome both experienced professionals and new graduates who are eager to learn and grow within our organization. Candidates with prior experience in rehabilitation settings will be given preference.

Compensation and Benefits

Amethyst Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
