Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Periscope, you will:

• Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, enhancing muscle functionality, and optimizing patient performance according to their individual capabilities.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients using diagnostic assessments and functional tests, which inform treatment strategies and goals.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in executing rehabilitation protocols, ensuring consistent quality of care.
• Administer manual therapeutic exercises, as well as non-manual functional activities, instructing patients and families on techniques to enhance recovery.
• Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team to plan comprehensive care across various conditions, participating in case conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments.
• Monitor and document changes in patient conditions, adjusting the care plan as necessary and communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, following all regulatory and organizational standards.
• Engage patients and their families in educational discussions about the therapy process, instructing on the use of therapy devices and at-home rehabilitation techniques.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuous learning initiatives, staying updated on best practices and innovations in physical therapy.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid DPT license in the State of New Jersey.
