Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Work It PT, you will work in a collaborative, onsite setting within our rehabilitation center. Working exclusively in this outpatient environment, you will have the opportunity to engage with patients face-to-face, promoting a therapeutic alliance that drives recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities, functional limitations, and therapy needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that employ a range of therapeutic techniques, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.
• Deliver manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and utilize modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients on effective self-care strategies and injury prevention techniques.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with HIPAA standards, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessment.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's treatment journey, enhancing care coordination.
• Participate in regular staff meetings, contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, and engage in ongoing professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population including athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, and those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your role will provide these patients with personalized care, ensuring they receive the attention and support needed to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in California.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise programs.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
