Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and initial interviews to gather pertinent information about clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Monitor and document every stage of the client’s journey, from the first consultation through to the final treatment session.
\n
• Develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans for individuals, couples, and groups, incorporating the latest findings in psychotherapy and counseling.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, adjusting techniques and methodologies to best suit the client's needs.
\n
• Regularly evaluate and track client progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment plans, making necessary adjustments as required.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Provide education and guidance to family members and caregivers on managing mental and behavioral challenges.

• Stay current with new developments in mental health practices and regulatory standards to continually enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, families, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your role is pivotal in empowering clients to overcome obstacles, implement positive coping strategies, and achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Passed score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems (EHR), preferably AVATAR, to document client interactions and maintain progress notes.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and colleagues effectively.

• Strong understanding of the interplay between psychological and physical health, particularly regarding medication prescribed by medical specialists.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience functioning in a mental health counseling capacity, ideally within a community health or clinic setting.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and standards.
\n
• Experience addressing a range of mental health issues and conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of addiction disorders and their implications for treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, complemented by a comprehensive healthcare benefits package.
