Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily activities will involve:

• Conducting initial evaluations through preliminary interviews, carefully documenting client history and mental health status from consultation through to treatment conclusion.
\n
• Assessing clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological conditions to identify the most effective interventions.
\n
• Developing individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating therapeutic sessions, both individually and in groups, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies.

• Monitoring and assessing client progress against treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to implement comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Maintaining ongoing communication with hospital staff regarding clients who may require inpatient care, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.

• Providing support to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools and strategies to assist clients with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting adults facing a diverse array of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, or co-occurring substance use disorders. By fostering an empathetic therapeutic relationship, you will empower clients to navigate their mental health journeys and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW within the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong proficiency in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically AVATAR, for case management and documentation purposes.
\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, in addition to a generous sign-on bonus.
