Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions, utilizing both traditional assessments and advanced evaluation techniques.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Monitor patient progress closely and document treatment interventions, patient responses, and clinical changes in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Regularly reassess patients and adapt treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery trajectories and achieve patient-centered goals.
• Provide education and training for patients and their families regarding therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and the appropriate use of assistive devices when necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements by engaging in continuing education initiatives and active participation in professional associations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries such as joint replacements or repairs, sports injuries, and trauma-related issues. You will also work with pediatric and geriatric populations, adapting your therapeutic approaches to meet diverse age-specific needs. Providing compassionate care and fostering strong relationships with patients will be key to fostering their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and basic computer applications for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
