Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor - Telehealth Specialist

Position Overview

Serenity Peaks Mental and Behavioral Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in delivering person-centered, holistic mental health care through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, utilizing standardized assessment tools and tailored interview approaches.
• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions that align with each patient’s unique needs and circumstances, implementing therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Handle administrative tasks efficiently, including billing, documentation, and completion of individualized treatment plans and insurance authorization forms in compliance with regulatory timeframes.
• Develop and implement crisis plans, safety plans, and relapse prevention strategies to help clients maintain stability in their daily lives.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans that ensure a smooth transition for clients exiting therapy, taking into account their ongoing needs and support systems.
• Adhere strictly to current federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and our organizational policies, ensuring the highest ethical standards are met.
• Participate actively in case consultations and agency meetings, contributing insights and suggestions for best practices to enhance overall service delivery.
• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory training, staying current with policy changes and developments in the mental health field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a broad spectrum of patients, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing various mental health challenges. Our patient population often includes individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral health concerns. Your approach will focus on individual needs, cultural competence, and empathetic communication to foster trust and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field is required, leading to appropriate licensure in Washington State.
• You must hold a current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) in Washington State.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in telehealth or remote counseling settings, demonstrating proficiency in virtual communication tools and techniques.
• Previous work in person-centered therapy settings with a strong commitment to holistic care approaches.
• Exposure to community health initiatives focused on mental wellness and advocacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and licensure. Our benefits package includes:
