Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews and document client cases from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment, ensuring accurate and thorough records.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, employing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities based on best practices.

• Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to reflect changes in their mental health status.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

• Follow up with healthcare providers for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring a seamless transition back into outpatient care.

• Identify and intervene to prevent behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing evidence-based strategies to promote positive changes.

• Work with family members and primary caregivers to provide guidance and support in managing their loved one's mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with diverse clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our client-focused approach emphasizes culturally competent care, allowing you to connect with individuals from various backgrounds and to address their unique challenges with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Proof of successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex cases effectively.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.
\n
• Strong understanding of various mental health conditions and their interrelation with physical health issues and addiction disorders.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of medication management and the implications of prescribed drugs as related to mental health treatment.
\n
• Exemplary written and oral communication skills, coupled with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus.
