Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients who are recovering from orthopedic injuries, diseases, or surgeries, tailoring treatment interventions to their unique needs.
• Design and implement effective treatment plans utilizing evidence-based methods such as targeted exercises, manual therapy, patient education, modalities, and assistive technologies.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members including physicians and nursing staff to ensure an integrated approach to each patient's care plan.
• Provide education and training for patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and best practices for recovery.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices through continued education and participation in professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We serve a diverse clientele, including patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries like joint replacements, sports injuries, traumatic injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our therapists develop strong relationships with patients, guiding them through each step of their recovery experience, which enhances patient engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey must be obtained before starting.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Competency in digital documentation, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• A flexible approach to treatment, enabling the therapist to modify treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is beneficial but not mandatory; new graduates are warmly welcomed.
• Experience working in team-oriented healthcare environments will be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
