Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, focusing on developing emotion regulation and communication skills.

• Implement targeted interventions aimed at addressing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression, while promoting positive coping strategies.

• Assist families in enhancing decision-making skills to tackle behavioral challenges faced in-home, employing empathetic communication techniques to foster understanding.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team, sharing insights and strategies to optimize support for youth and their caregivers.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and agency policies.

• Actively participate in monthly team meetings and provide actionable recommendations based on therapy outcomes and goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities or intellectual challenges. You will employ tailored therapeutic techniques that cater to each child’s unique needs while engaging their families in the therapy process to reinforce learning and behavioral changes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for weekends being advantageous.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for client visits and transport.
\n
• A clear criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure the safety of our clients.
