Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance. With no on-call responsibilities, you can structure your schedule within the standard working hours of Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments that evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and personal goals to inform individualized treatment plans.
• Develop and implement tailored therapeutic strategies using evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Facilitate engaging individual, group, and family therapy sessions, addressing challenges like mood disorders, anxiety, and relationship issues.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, making informed adjustments to treatment plans to better suit their evolving needs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive care that supports clients’ overall well-being.
• Advocate for clients' access to essential mental health services and community resources, ensuring they are well-informed and empowered.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and ethical practice in accordance with state regulations and professional guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression and anxiety, as well as those facing life transitions, relationship difficulties, and emotional challenges. This diverse client base requires a compassionate approach and the ability to establish rapport with individuals from varied backgrounds, providing each person with the tailored support they need to navigate their unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited university.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.
• Two years of post-licensure experience, particularly with a focus on mood disorders, is highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapies, with a particular emphasis on CBT and DBT.
• Comprehensive knowledge of psychopharmacology and a collaborative mindset to work effectively alongside psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
• Demonstrated success in achieving positive therapeutic outcomes in client treatment.
• Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to connect meaningfully with clients from diverse cultural and personal backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth setting and familiarity with teletherapy platforms is advantageous.
• A track record of community engagement and outreach in mental health advocacy and education.
• Specialized training or certification in advanced therapeutic techniques or modalities related to mood disorders.
