Position Overview

The Rapha Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time remote position focusing on providing high-quality mental health services to individuals grappling with mood disorders. The successful candidate will specialize in conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders, contributing to our mission of promoting mental well-being.

Work Environment

Our practice operates primarily in a remote setting, offering flexibility while ensuring that our therapists remain connected through regular team meetings and collaborative case discussions. Interactions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals are integral to our approach, ensuring a well-rounded care experience for our clients. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients with mood disorders to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms.
• Collaborate closely with clients to form personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address the complex challenges of mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance their understanding and coping mechanisms.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to reflect their evolving needs and successes.
• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and various medical professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring each client’s treatment is adequately coordinated and comprehensive.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continuously refine therapeutic approaches.
• Accurately document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans while adhering to ethical and legal standards of confidentiality.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to bolster clinical skills and best practices in mental health care.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, striving to reduce stigma and promote understanding around mood disorders in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele includes individuals of all ages facing mood disorders, requiring culturally competent and empathetic approaches. Candidates will work directly with clients experiencing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to severe depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. By providing tailored therapeutic interventions, therapists will play a vital role in not only alleviating symptoms but also enhancing the overall quality of life for these individuals.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT within the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, particularly in working with mood disorders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and DBT, tailored to address mood disorder complexities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong capacity for building rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years in clinical practice focusing on mood disorders is required, candidates with additional training in advanced therapy techniques or certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. Experience with integrated care models and multidisciplinary teamwork is also an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
