Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance while maintaining a professional telehealth practice. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized and actionable treatment plans tailored to their unique goals and preferences, integrating their feedback and expectations as part of the therapeutic alliance.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing mood disorders effectively.

• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families on understanding mood disorders, treatment modalities, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on evidenced outcomes and client feedback, ensuring optimal care delivery.

• Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and comprehensive treatment approaches for clients.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, tools, and methodologies related to mood disorders to continuously improve therapeutic practices and client outcomes.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client privacy.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education to refine clinical skills and integrate best practices into daily work.

• Actively advocate for clients, aiming to remove the stigma surrounding mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are heard and addressed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, adapting your therapeutic approaches to meet their specific challenges and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess an active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated experience of at least two years post-licensure, specifically in the treatment of mood disorders.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is essential.

• Strong foundational knowledge of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists for integrated care scenarios.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, along with familiarity with virtual therapeutic tools and platforms.

• Background in working with diverse client populations and understanding cultural competency in therapeutic practices enhances candidate suitability.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
