In this remote outpatient role, you will be part of a collaborative team of mental health professionals who share a passion for trauma recovery. Our virtual office culture promotes open communication, support, and continuous learning, enabling you to contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to care that is both effective and compassionate. You can expect a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and discern appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and the overall mental wellness of patients.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space where patients can explore their trauma experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and progress on their journey to recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, ensuring integrated care and comprehensive support for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients feel safe and heard in times of distress.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their understanding and recovery.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for optimal efficiency.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development related to trauma-informed care and emerging best practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will support primarily consist of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including complex PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders. Many patients may struggle with emotional regulation, fear, and anxiety due to their past experiences, requiring a specialized, empathetic, and informed approach to healing. You will play a key role in guiding these individuals toward recovery, providing them with the skills to navigate their emotional challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New Jersey as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with patients compassionately while providing a non-judgmental environment.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, ideally focusing on trauma recovery and related therapies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
