Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, couples, and family counseling sessions, utilizing trauma-informed care principles and tailored therapeutic techniques to meet client needs.

• Incorporate Christian counseling methods for those clients seeking faith-based support, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their mental health.
\n
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with your clients, regularly assessing their progress and adjusting goals as necessary.
\n
• Serve clients referred through local churches, establishing strong ties to the community and fostering a network of support resources.
\n
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to enhance client acquisition and contribute to developing new referral sources.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social workers and clinical counselors, to provide well-rounded care for clients.

• Maintain accurate client records and timely progress notes within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, adhering to all confidentiality guidelines.

• Keep the center's director informed about your scheduling, availability, and any client care concerns that arise.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related mental health field is required.
\n
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Washington, D.C. is mandatory.

• Independently licensed or within 200 hours of completing residency is a must, with dual licensure in Virginia or Maryland highly preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 1 year of experience providing trauma counseling.

• Strong understanding of Biblical counseling techniques and principles.
\n
• Training or willingness to complete EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) basic training within 3 months of hire.

• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of connecting with clients from various backgrounds and age groups.
\n
• Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
