Work Environment\n

This position is completely remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a professional approach to mental health counseling. As part of our outpatient treatment team, you will engage in virtual sessions with patients, ensuring a convenient and accessible therapeutic experience. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility necessary to accommodate patient needs and crises.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories, identify presenting issues, and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, using framework methodologies such as EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing trauma, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and promoting their overall healing journey.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stability.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the effects of trauma, coping strategies, and available therapeutic resources to aid in their recovery process.
\n
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential documentation in accordance with legal standards and ethical guidelines.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focusing on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including, but not limited to, PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By prioritizing a trauma-informed approach, you will be equipped to understand and respond to the unique needs of each patient, empowering them on their recovery pathways.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Arizona is essential to this position.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-associated disorders, treatment modalities focused on trauma, and strategies for promoting resilience among patients.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and non-judgmental support.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress or crisis situations.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical mental health setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
