Work Environment

The position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in Fairview, NJ. Our work environment is designed to support both patient recovery and professional development, featuring modern therapy equipment and innovative treatment spaces. Our team operates on a full-time basis, with a standard weekly commitment of 40 hours, which may include variable weekends as needed to accommodate patient care demands.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your fundamental responsibilities will include:

• Examining, evaluating, and developing individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse functional limitations and disabilities.
• Providing expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding a patient's continuum of care, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
• Interacting effectively and compassionately with patients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds, while adhering to high customer service standards.
• Evaluating treatment effectiveness and modifying care plans as necessary, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and professional standards.
• Documenting patient progress accurately and maintaining thorough records of treatments and charges, both electronically and in writing.
• Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary treatment teams, referral sources, and family members to enhance patient care.
• Engaging in community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and marketing efforts to promote the facility and advance the profession.
• Supervising and mentoring assigned support staff, including Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and interns.
• Participating in ongoing staff meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance personal competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. You will work closely with pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, tailoring therapy approaches to meet their unique needs and goals. Your role is vital in facilitating their recovery, improving their overall quality of life, and enabling them to achieve functional independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure in Physical Therapy.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills to interact collaboratively with patients and team members.
• Strong organizational and computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Preferred Experience

An ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in a rehabilitation or outpatient setting.
• Experience with specialized treatment approaches or certifications, such as manual therapy or sports rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

Maury Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
