Work Environment

This role embraces a remote work setting, allowing you to engage with your team from the comfort of your home, while still being directly involved in a school facility atmosphere. Your day-to-day responsibilities will take place primarily in a climate-controlled office environment, with opportunities for interaction with multidisciplinary health care providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients' statuses, utilizing tools such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to establish individualized care plans that align with cultural diversity and the specific needs of patients.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and intervene with strategies and care modifications to maximize mental health outcomes.
• Document all treatment records, reports, and relevant clinical information accurately and promptly, using modern technology to comply with both regulatory and departmental standards.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to desired goals and patient circumstances.
• Engage in proactive patient safety measures and symptom management while fostering teamwork and mutual accountability among colleagues.
• Facilitate referrals to appropriate healthcare providers, serving as a bridge connecting patients to critical resources and care options.
• Offer mentorship and educational support to students and interns, as well as participate in peer reviews and collaborative case discussions as directed by your clinical supervisor.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses on providing mental health support specifically to individuals and families dealing with the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. Your expertise will enable you to address complex emotional and psychological needs, promote resilience, and improve overall mental health outcomes within this vulnerable patient population.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Must possess a valid and current Texas State License as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience providing clinical social work services, particularly in oncology or related fields.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms for virtual therapy sessions.
• Experience in educational or school-based settings, which will enhance your ability to liaise with students and family members effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, complemented by a generous benefits package.
