Work Environment

This full-time role is performed onsite, primarily in patients' homes throughout the Miami area. You will experience a dynamic work environment that adapts to the needs of each patient, ensuring personalized care. This setting allows for greater flexibility and a deeper connection with patients as you work closely to facilitate their rehabilitation journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, identifying key objectives for rehabilitation.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, ensuring they align with the physician's orders and patient goals.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, including evaluations, treatment records, and discharge summaries, using clinical jargon to justify skilled interventions and support insurance claims.

• Continuously assess the effectiveness of treatment techniques, making necessary adjustments to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support staff in delivering high-quality patient care to ensure that treatment goals are met.

• Facilitate collaborative care by communicating regularly with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans.

• Contribute positively to team dynamics by offering constructive suggestions for operational improvement and supporting a culture of professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse patient population in home care settings, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or undergoing rehabilitation for injuries. You will focus on enhancing mobility, strength, and overall functional capabilities, adapting interventions to suit the unique needs of each individual, including pediatric and geriatric clients.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Valid physical therapy license issued by the State of Florida.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.

• Competence in using relevant software tools for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting are preferred; however, new graduates with a strong educational background are encouraged to apply. Experience in home health or a similar practice environment will be a significant advantage, allowing for a smoother transition into the role.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
