Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with Focus Renew Counseling, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess client needs and establish baseline data for treatment planning.
• Providing high-quality individual therapy sessions to clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each person's unique circumstances.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering recovery and promoting mental wellness.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
• Maintaining accurate and organized electronic health records in compliance with relevant regulations while ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Adhering to best practices and safety standards to safeguard the health and well-being of your clients and the entire team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population encompasses a diverse range of individuals seeking support for various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related issues. As a counselor, you'll be instrumental in fostering a safe, caring environment that encourages clients to express their experiences and work through their challenges with your guidance.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic modalities.
• A Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• The capability to understand, empathize, and connect with clients on a personal level, creating rapport and trust in the counseling relationship.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance a candidate's suitability for this role:

• Familiarity with local community resources for mental health support and advocacy.
• Knowledge of various therapy services and techniques, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Experience with insurance billing processes and mental health documentation best practices.

Compensation and Benefits
