Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Med Lake Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations to assess each patient's physical capabilities, mobility restrictions, and rehabilitation goals.
• Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans in accordance with medical directives, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practice.
• Utilizing adaptive techniques and modalities to maximize patient improvement, which may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Actively participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on effective treatment strategies.
• Providing education and resources to patients and their families regarding therapy interventions, home exercise programs, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Documenting patient responses to treatment, maintaining records as per regulatory standards, and preparing discharge summaries and progress reports.
• Mentoring and guiding assistants and interns in therapeutic practices, enhancing their skills and ensuring patient safety and effective care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and postural issues. We serve clients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Your ability to tailor interventions to diverse patient backgrounds and conditions will contribute significantly to their rehabilitation success.

Qualifications

To be considered for this essential role within our team, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of California.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
