Work Environment

The position is based in our modern and well-equipped outpatient office located in Greenacres. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists, fostering a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere. The clinic operates primarily Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing ample time for both patient care and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients with sports-related injuries or orthopedic conditions, identifying impairments and understanding functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs that prioritize the unique goals and needs of each athlete or active individual.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques such as manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and specific strength training protocols to facilitate recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on effective injury management strategies and performance enhancement methods, ensuring they understand their rehabilitation process.
• Monitor and document patient progress using our electronic medical records (EMR) system, allowing for timely adjustments to treatment plans based on data-driven insights.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and community outreach programs focusing on sports health and injury prevention, promoting public awareness and education.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of athletes, from weekend warriors to elite competitors, as well as active individuals seeking to improve their physical capabilities or recover from injuries. This role requires a deep understanding of sports biomechanics and rehabilitation strategies, allowing you to provide optimal care tailored to each client's specific activity levels and goals.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapy license or eligibility to obtain one prior to your starting date.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy is required.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care, enabling you to inspire motivation and confidence in your clients.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification accredited by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

• Certification as a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) is highly desirable, indicating a commitment to specialized knowledge in sports rehabilitation.
• Experience in utilizing innovative treatment methodologies and working in a team-oriented environment.
• A background in community program development related to sports health and injury prevention.

Compensation and Benefits
