Work Environment

This role will primarily function onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Lake Worth, which is equipped with the latest therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation technology. As a Floater Physical Therapist, you will work across various units, adapting seamlessly to the needs of our patients and the demands of each specific clinical setting. Your flexibility will be a key asset in providing care to those who need it most, ensuring that optimal service is rendered in a range of environments including outpatient therapy clinics and skilled rehabilitation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and establish baseline functional levels.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific goals, clinical findings, and rehabilitation progress.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Provide adaptable coverage across various units and facilities based on real-time staffing needs, showcasing the ability to manage a variety of patient cases.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety precautions, and effective injury prevention strategies.
• Facilitate safe discharge planning and mobility, coordinating closely with case management and social work to address patient needs post-discharge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population, which may include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your work will directly impact patients' functional outcomes, enhancing their quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida, or the ability to obtain one before starting.
• Strong foundation in clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills necessary for effective patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience in hospital or acute care settings is strongly preferred; however, new graduates with exceptional clinical rotations may also be considered.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team environment will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
