Work Environment\n

This remote position offers the flexibility and convenience needed to maintain a healthy work-life balance. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate patient needs. Your virtual office will be equipped with technology that supports secure, seamless interactions with clients, allowing you to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and team meetings effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized evaluation tools and interviews to understand their psychological, emotional, and social needs.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, cultural context, and family dynamics, ensuring each plan progresses according to therapeutic goals.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored for young patients, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, or family systems therapy, to address prevalent issues like anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and caregivers with skills to foster a supportive environment conducive to their child’s development.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including child psychiatrists, to provide comprehensive care and ensure that treatment is well-coordinated, enhancing the patient experience and outcomes.

• Respond promptly to mental health crises involving young patients, providing immediate support to de-escalate situations and ensure safety.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, discussing various treatment options, coping strategies, and community resources that can offer additional support.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of patient progress in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate tracking.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities, ensuring continuous learning and improvement in care strategies.

• Keep current with developments in child and adolescent mental health by engaging with ongoing training and research, incorporating new evidence-based practices into your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and disruptive behavior disorders. The role demands not only clinical acumen but also the ability to connect deeply with young patients, establishing trust while navigating their unique emotional landscapes and family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure: Current valid licensing in Florida as LCSW, LPC, or LMFT is mandatory.

• Experience: A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly within child and adolescent settings.

• Clinical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in identifying and treating child and adolescent mental health disorders, and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a child-centered approach. Competence in building rapport with patients and families is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
