Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Queens Village, New York, our facility provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients. The Nurse Practitioner will be working in a collaborative environment alongside our healthcare team, which includes physicians, therapists, and case managers, to provide integrated care for our patients. Your expertise will be valued in a setting that prioritizes holistic care delivery and patient well-being. Regular working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose patient's mental health conditions.
• Implement medication management strategies, regularly monitoring and adjusting treatments as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during challenging times for patients.
• Engage in community outreach efforts and educational initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues, tackling stigma in the community.
• Deliver therapeutic support through individual counseling and psychoeducation to empower patients in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will cater to a diverse patient population in Queens Village, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with psychiatric specialization.
• Understanding of mental health regulations and best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a community health center or similar healthcare environment is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mental health assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic modalities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 200,000 to 250,000, based on qualifications and experience.
