Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient’s trauma history and mental health needs, guiding the development of tailored treatment strategies.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans with a strong emphasis on trauma recovery and building resilience, evaluating and adjusting these plans as needed based on progress.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that therapy aligns with the latest research in trauma care.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma and cultivate essential coping strategies.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to offer integrated care that addresses each patient's total well-being.

• Offer crisis intervention support during challenging situations, ensuring clients have immediate access to help when needed.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and teach practical coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of available resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation compliant with ethical and legal standards, ensuring a thorough record of therapy progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The individuals you will work with are survivors of trauma, each with their unique challenges and histories. Clients often present with conditions such as PTSD, complex trauma, and numerous associated mental health issues. Your work will support them in navigating their experiences, promoting healing and resilience through a compassionate and informed therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, embracing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for remote therapy.

Preferred Experience\n
