Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in delivering crucial mental health services to children and families throughout Texas. This full-time, remote position focuses on providing Intensive In-community therapeutic services, primarily via telehealth, to children with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Healing Mind and Soul Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual therapy sessions in the homes of clients or via telehealth, focusing on children with developmental disabilities and their families.

• Facilitating group therapy sessions to promote healthy social skills and emotional regulation.
\n
• Implementing anger management strategies and coping techniques to mitigate high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Enhancing decision-making skills for both youth and caregivers to address in-home behavioral challenges effectively.
\n
• Collaborating regularly with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals involved in the clients' care to ensure holistic and comprehensive support.
\n
• Documenting all therapeutic activities, including intake processes, treatment plans, and progress notes, within set timelines.
\n
• Actively participating in monthly team meetings, offering insights and recommendations to improve service delivery.
\n

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele will be children aged 3-20 dealing with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including behavioral challenges. You will work closely with families, offering support and guidance as they navigate their children's specific needs. Your role is essential in fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth, development, and resilience.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours from 4 to 7 pm, with some weekend availability considered a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential travel if needed.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred qualifications include experience in providing positive behavior support and a background in working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD). Candidates who have successfully implemented therapy techniques for various age groups within this population are highly encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year, commensurate with the candidate’s experience and expertise. Benefits provided include:
