Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments of patients to understand their trauma history and guide appropriate treatment approaches.

• Develop tailored, individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, emphasizing resilience-building and emotional support.

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that help patients process trauma, build coping mechanisms, and foster healing.

• Maintain collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each patient's unique needs.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, guiding clients through acute distress.

• Educate clients and their families on understanding trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and resources available for ongoing support.

• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards through meticulous documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations, contribute to team meetings, and participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of trauma-informed care best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on individuals who have endured significant trauma, including those affected by PTSD, complex trauma, and various dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in providing therapeutic support that is sensitive and responsive to the diverse needs and backgrounds of these patients, fostering a therapeutic alliance that promotes trust and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
