Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Elysium, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse caseload of youth clients, developing positive therapeutic relationships while adhering to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality.

• Conduct regular sessions to assess client progress, address concerns, discuss upcoming appointments, and make appropriate discharge recommendations when necessary.

• Create, implement, and regularly evaluate person-centered treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.
\n
• Document client interactions and progress notes meticulously to reflect treatment and clinical outcomes.
\n
• Carry out thorough intake assessments to understand each client’s history and needs effectively.
\n
• Conduct individual therapy sessions weekly, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques as appropriate for each client.

• Engage in ongoing supervision sessions to enhance clinical skills and discuss challenging cases.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care and implement best practices for client health and well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically focuses on counseling youth, presenting unique opportunities and challenges in mental health care. You will engage with a resilient yet vulnerable demographic, helping them navigate mental health issues, behavioral challenges, and emotional development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
\n
• Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.
\n
• Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements for relevant clinical settings.
\n
• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric patients and/or youth struggling with substance use issues.

• Competence in delivering both assessment and diagnostic services, alongside individual and group therapy.

• Proficient computer skills, including basic keyboarding and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
