Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and comprehensive assessments to identify client needs.
• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and guidance to clients experiencing acute distress.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that goals are tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Lead group therapy sessions and psychoeducational programs, focusing on topics relevant to mental health and emotional well-being.
• Coordinate care with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in clinical supervision sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
• Contribute to case conferences and treatment planning discussions, offering insights and strategies for effective care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse clientele, particularly teenagers and adolescents. Your work will focus on assisting these young individuals in navigating their emotional and relational challenges, thereby fostering resilience and adaptive coping strategies. You will also engage with families to address relational dynamics, promoting healthier interactions and understanding.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Strong clinical acumen with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration and support within the team and with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing therapy to adolescents and teenagers, with an understanding of developmental issues.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience working with community health or mental health organizations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
