Position Overview

Life and Wellness Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team at our rehabilitation facility located in Brandon, Florida. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans for patients who are experiencing physical limitations or disabilities resulting from various conditions, including injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Life and Wellness Services, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations to assess movement patterns, physical capabilities, and any limitations impacting recovery.
• Creating personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices and reflect ongoing evaluations to meet individual patient goals.
• Applying various therapeutic modalities, including exercise, manual therapy, and aquatic therapy, as appropriate to enhance recovery.
• Regularly re-evaluating patient progress, adjusting treatment plans, and communicating changes to interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment options and strategies to promote independence and facilitate health improvement.
• Documenting all patient interactions accurately, maintaining compliance with coding standards for billing, and ensuring regulatory adherence under the State Practice Act.
• Utilizing and maintaining physical therapy equipment in a safe manner while providing explanations to patients about treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrating knowledge of patient-specific needs based on age and developmental milestones, ensuring that care is appropriate for each individual.
• Actively participating in team meetings to discuss patient care and seek input from colleagues in related fields.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your efforts will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain. You will work closely with patients of all ages and backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their specific needs and helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals effectively.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program with the necessary credit hours to qualify for licensure.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida; possession of a temporary permit is also acceptable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with a commitment to ongoing education in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience
