Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to create personalized treatment plans that address clients' unique needs and concerns.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, to individuals, couples, and groups.
• Utilize a strengths-based approach to empower clients, helping them to identify positive coping strategies and pathways for personal development.
• Document clinical progress and treatment plans in accordance with legal requirements and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of accountability and professionalism.
• Collaborate frequently with an interdisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
• Participate in ongoing training and workshops to keep abreast of advancements in the mental health field and enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and trauma-related concerns. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of experience in providing counseling services, ideally within a clinical or telehealth setting.

Preferred Experience
