Position Overview

Life Matters Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to determine clients’ mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to facilitate healing.
• Regularly monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly, ensuring the most effective therapeutic interventions are employed.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and up-to-date client documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic care for clients with complex needs.
• Offer crisis intervention services and support clients in navigating difficult emotional experiences.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills and stay informed of the latest in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Washington State license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
• A minimum of four years of experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a robust understanding of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
• Ability to deliver individual and group therapy sessions using culturally responsive approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with a calm demeanor to manage challenging situations effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and digital communication tools.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a community health setting, particularly with underserved populations.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote client engagement strategies.
• Knowledge of local resources and referral networks to enhance client care.

Compensation and Benefits
