Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's traumatic history and establish effective treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans focused on long-term trauma recovery and building resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in your practice.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on helping clients process their traumatic experiences and cultivate coping strategies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and support staff, to coordinate comprehensive care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate help when needed.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.

• Maintain up-to-date and secure documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, including progress notes and treatment records.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights on trauma-informed care practices.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals affected by trauma, including those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your role will involve a deep understanding of these conditions, enabling you to provide the most effective therapeutic interventions and support to facilitate healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working as a mental health therapist, with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and effective resilience-building methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a non-judgmental and compassionate approach.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

• Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is required, candidates with additional specialization in trauma therapy, continuing education in relevant modalities, or experience in telehealth settings are highly encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits\n
