We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team at Strong Mind Mental and Behavioral Healthcare in Rochester, New York. This full-time position is integral to our outpatient facility, where you will be responsible for assessing patient needs and providing targeted rehabilitation services aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist in our outpatient office, you will enjoy a collaborative work environment alongside a skilled team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our facility operates during regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. We cater primarily to patients with private medical insurance, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for both staff and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and limitations, formulating personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual recovery goals.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to provide effective rehabilitation methods, including manual therapy and specific exercise regimens aimed at optimizing functional mobility.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, fostering a focused and compassionate care experience.
• Develop and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to improve patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor patients' progress regularly, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment details meticulously using our EMR software platform, such as WebPT, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in regular teamwork and consultations with other medical professionals to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy sessions to enhance their commitment to improving their physical health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions in an outpatient setting, many of whom are seeking rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain management. This position requires a compassionate approach to patient care, as you will not only address their physical rehabilitation needs but also support their overall mental wellness journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Active certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York, with a clean professional record free from disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and ability to develop personalized exercise programs for a diverse patient population.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing EMR software platforms, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records.
• Experience in collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes through integrated care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time Physical Therapist position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
