Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized measurement tools to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals that cater to their specific needs and aspirations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address client issues.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor client progress meticulously and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that interventions remain relevant and effective.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for clients.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapeutic approaches and treatment efficacy.
• Maintain comprehensive, confidential documentation in strict alignment with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to continually refine skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will support typically face challenges related to mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and other related conditions. You will work closely with individuals and families, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the unique backgrounds and circumstances of each client.

Qualifications

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field from an accredited institution.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on creating safe spaces for clients to express their concerns and experiences.
