Work Environment

This position will be based onsite, specifically within our home care setting. You will engage directly with patients in their homes, offering the advantage of personalized care tailored to their specific living conditions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions, developing individualized treatment plans that align with their rehabilitation goals.
• Implement hands-on manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises, carefully monitoring and adjusting interventions to optimize recovery and patient satisfaction.
• Educate patients about injury prevention strategies, providing guidance on rehabilitation exercises, and offering lifestyle modification recommendations to enhance long-term outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in orthopedic physical therapy and implement new techniques to improve patient care.
• Document patient progress accurately and efficiently, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track treatment outcomes and facilitate communication with the healthcare team.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case discussions to contribute to a collaborative care environment and enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Engage in marketing activities to promote physical therapy services, enhancing community awareness about the benefits of rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient individuals undergoing rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions. This includes sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will work with diverse populations, ensuring that each treatment plan is culturally sensitive and tailored to meet the unique needs of our patients. The role emphasizes building trust and rapport to facilitate optimal recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active California state license in Physical Therapy, allowing for the practice of therapy within the state.
• Minimum of two years of experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting, demonstrating a robust understanding of therapeutic practices.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring preparedness for any emergency situations within patient interactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with patients and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is preferred but not mandatory.
