Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide short-term crisis counseling for non-violent patients experiencing mental health episodes, utilizing therapeutic techniques to stabilize their condition.

• Accompany law enforcement personnel on relevant mental health response calls, offering expertise to assess and address situations involving mental health crises.

• Facilitate training for police staff on best practices for handling mental health episodes, aiming to de-escalate scenarios and minimize the use of force.

• Engage in case management by collaborating with third-party mental health entities, including the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, ensuring the continual support and follow-up of patients.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes to uphold the integrity of client information.

• Communicate effectively with law enforcement officials, crisis stabilization units (CSUs), hospital staff, and psychiatrists, ensuring a coordinated approach to mental health care.

• Assist police officers in conducting on-site psychiatric evaluations to ascertain the need for 5150/5585 applications, facilitating involuntary detention when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LPCC role is centered around supporting a diverse array of clients, including both individuals who have been arrested and community members facing mental health crises. You will work closely with non-violent patients, utilizing your counseling skills to foster recovery and stabilization during critical moments. This role also includes a focus on individuals experiencing homelessness, providing them with necessary resources and support to access mental health services and shelter options.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Valid and active Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Peaceful Harmony, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 122,000 annually for this full-time position, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
