Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and present conditions, identifying the most suitable therapeutic approaches.

• Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health stabilization.

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapting these techniques to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process their trauma, teach coping mechanisms, and foster emotional healing.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a cohesive treatment plan that addresses both psychological and medical needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients facing trauma-related emergencies, helping them navigate acute distress.

• Educate clients and their family members about trauma responses and coping strategies while providing information on additional resources and support networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele at Mood Dynamics primarily consists of individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including domestic violence, abuse, accidents, and natural disasters. You will play a pivotal role in supporting these individuals as they navigate their mental health challenges, ensuring their treatment aligns with their personal recovery goals.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proficiency in delivering therapeutic interventions specific to trauma recovery.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a compassionate, non-judgmental approach in all interactions.

• The ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for documentation and communication.

• A collaborative spirit, with a willingness to engage as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to comprehensive patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will possess experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions directly. Familiarity with assessments pertinent to trauma, as well as experience supporting diverse populations, will be advantageous. An understanding of the local community in San Antonio could also enhance the therapeutic relationship and client trust.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 per year.
