West Valley Psychotherapy Center is seeking dedicated Mental Health Counselors to fill full-time positions in our outpatient practice. In this role, you will leverage evidence-based therapeutic techniques to assist individuals dealing with various mental health conditions, contributing to improved patient outcomes and overall well-being.

Work Environment\n

This position provides the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing counselors to connect with clients from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining a professional and supportive environment. Counselors work collaboratively with a committed and skilled team of mental health professionals and have the flexibility to tailor their schedules to accommodate patient needs. Our regular working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of some scheduling flexibility.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine client needs, utilizing interviews, questionnaires, and standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based interventions, including psychoeducation, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused techniques tailored to individual clients.
\n
• Facilitate supportive and psychoeducational group therapy sessions, encouraging peer interaction and fostering a sense of community among participants.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care tailored to each client's mental health journey.
\n
• Respond effectively to mental health crises, providing immediate intervention and support as necessary, ensuring safety and well-being for our clients.
\n
• Educate clients about their mental health, treatment modalities, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery process.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
\n
• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities, contributing to a culture of learning and collaborative care.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy practices and integrate these developments into your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. This role requires empathy, cultural competence, and an understanding of the nuanced factors affecting individuals and families within different demographics. Counselors are expected to adapt their therapeutic approaches to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• Proficient knowledge of common mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and design effective treatment plans that foster mental well-being.
\n
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy while fostering positive therapeutic relationships.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
\n
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with telehealth platforms.
\n
• A commitment to ethical practice, demonstrated sound judgment, and maintaining professional boundaries in therapeutic relationships.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of experience providing therapy in an outpatient setting, particularly with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
