Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to gauge each patient's history and needs in order to identify the most suitable treatment modalities.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and enhancing the overall well-being of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their traumatic experiences, acquire coping skills, and promote mental well-being.

• Actively collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to provide integrated care tailored to patients’ evolving needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective assistance.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping techniques, and the resources available to them, fostering a supportive environment.

• Maintain confidential records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a seamless flow of information within the practice.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in professional development activities, and keep abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role emphasizes working with individuals facing challenges stemming from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, providing tailored care that recognizes the unique experiences of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• At least 2 years of experience in providing trauma-informed care is preferred.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders, resilience-building techniques, and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, complemented by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, providing support to clients during emergencies.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other digital tools that enhance clinical documentation and patient management.
