Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and treatment needs, ensuring personalized care strategies.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans with a focus on trauma recovery, utilizing innovative therapeutic methods.

• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate effective healing.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to promote processing of trauma and foster coping mechanisms among patients.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to integrate comprehensive care strategies tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Respond to crisis situations with immediate intervention strategies, offering support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma response and coping strategies, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in compliance with pertinent legal and ethical standards, utilizing EHR systems effectively.

You will primarily work with adults who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience\n
