Kelington Behavioral Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team in Long Beach, California. This full-time position focuses on providing specialized mental health care for individuals grappling with the impacts of trauma. Work Environment\n

This position is entirely remote, ensuring flexibility while providing essential mental health services. Our outpatient office promotes collaborative teamwork and communication among healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and other therapists, to deliver holistic care that addresses the various aspects of our patients' mental well-being. The expected work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on patient demands.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Create and implement individualized therapy approaches that focus on resilience building and trauma recovery.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that offer patients the opportunity to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote overall emotional wellness.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality assurance in all documentation practices.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education to remain updated on the latest best practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including victims of abuse, neglect, and systemic violence. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computerized applications.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting compassion and a non-judgmental approach in patient interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting focused on trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
