The Beacon Institute for Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time remote position. Work Environment

This position allows you to work remotely, providing flexibility for a work-life balance in the comfort of your own home. Although you will operate independently, you will have access to a robust support system that includes an electronic health record (EHR) for documentation, virtual case consultations, and ongoing training. Our team meets regularly via video conferences to discuss cases and share best practices, ensuring that every clinician feels connected and supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through a secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, prioritizing patient confidentiality and comfort.
• Perform thorough intake assessments to identify clients' needs and collaboratively develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their specific situations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate clients’ progress.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of patient interactions and treatment progress in our EHR system, ensuring compliance with administrative and clinical standards.
• Participate in virtual team meetings, ongoing professional development workshops, and peer consultations to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with a committed team of psychiatrists, fellow therapists, and support staff, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care for all clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse client base experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related problems, and difficulties in relationships and life transitions. Our focus is on providing equitable access to mental health education and services, thus understanding and valuing cultural differences is vital in building rapport and trust with our clients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in California is required.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, with at least one year post-licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to empathize with clients across varied backgrounds.
• Proficiency in telehealth technology, demonstrating a comfort level with the digital landscape of remote therapy.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a community health setting, familiarity with diverse populations, and previous engagement with evidence-based practices are strongly preferred. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles will also be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
