Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to gauge patients’ histories and craft tailored treatment plans that address their unique needs.

• Implement individualized therapy strategies designed for trauma recovery, including but not limited to, implementing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with a safe space to process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work in conjunction with our psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care that is responsive to patients’ mental health needs.

• Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support for patients in acute distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to foster understanding and empowerment.
\n
• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, reflecting each patient’s progress and treatment journey.
\n
• Engage in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care strategies and best practices.

• Continually update your own knowledge of trauma therapy through research and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and critical life events. You will be instrumental in helping these clients work through their challenges, establish a sense of safety, and build resilience. The commitment to trauma-informed care ensures that every interaction respects the patient’s experiences and promotes healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health, with a focus on trauma-related disorders.
\n
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities and the ability to utilize resilience-building interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a warm, compassionate, and unjudgmental approach to client care.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in crises, providing necessary support and intervention.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications is essential.
\n
• Experience in multidisciplinary team settings and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience working with trauma survivors is preferred, we encourage applications from even those with additional experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Compensation and Benefits\n
