Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments, evaluate client needs, and develop personalized treatment plans based on individual circumstances.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches that resonate with clients.
• Maintain meticulous documentation including progress notes, closing summaries, and transfer notes, ensuring transparency and continuity of care.
• Coordinate specialized programs within the Behavioral Health Department to enhance service delivery and comprehensively address community mental health needs.
• Collaborate with community resources to promote preventive mental health services, advocating for client access to essential support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wellpath Counseling, you will engage with a diverse clientele facing various challenges, including addiction, trauma, homelessness, and other co-occurring disorders. Your expertise in managing crises and your understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health will be crucial in helping our patients navigate their treatment journeys and achieve positive mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Current licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT, with a thorough understanding of the relevant supervision guidelines and requirements.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in delivering mental health services, with a focus on crisis management.
• Proven knowledge of addiction issues and their intricate relationship with psychotherapy is essential.
• A compassionate professional demeanor and respect for clients, staff, and those under supervision are essential for fostering a supportive environment.

Preferred Experience
